Role

Children 1st work to give every child in Scotland a safe and secure childhood. We achieve this by providing direct services to vulnerable children and their families across Scotland.

Raising funds is essential to ensuring we can deliver support for children and families. Children 1st is looking for a new Business Development and Trusts Funding Officer to join its skilled and successful fundraising team to help deliver on its ambitious three year fundraising strategy.

This role in the Business Development & Trusts team will work with our existing funders and cultivating and securing new relationships in order to deliver highly successful partnerships. The post holder will be responsible for managing a prospect pipeline, building and maintaining relationships with both statutory bodies and charitable trust and foundations.

We need someone who is focused, driven, shares our vision and is able to deliver innovation and creativity to their work. Being an excellent communicator and relationship manager on all platforms is vital. Our values are important to us and we need someone who can translate this to our supporters through authentic and creative relationships.

This is a permanent, full time role of 35 hours per week. Based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow, with homeworking as required.
