Role

RCET is Scotland’s Armed Forces Children’s Charity. For over 200 years, we have put the wellbeing and education of Armed Forces children and young people at the heart of everything that we do. Today we provide life-changing support to hundreds of children and young people across Scotland helping them to access opportunity, break down barriers, unlock their own potential and THRIVE.

Our current Treasurer is retiring and we seek a successor to support our Board with the competent stewardship of RCET’s finances.

The Treasurer, along with normal Trustee responsibilities, will:

• Oversee the financial affairs of the organisation and ensure that they are legal, constitutional and within accepted accounting practice.

• Ensure proper records are kept and that effective and appropriate financial procedures and controls are in place.

• Monitor and report on the financial health of the organisation.

• Oversee the production of necessary financial reports/returns, accounts and audits.
