Pet Blood Bank UK is the only charity of its kind that provides a canine blood bank service, helping to save the lives of many loyal companions across the UK. Like the human blood service, donation sessions are held across the UK for dog owners to bring along their pets to give blood. Now in its 13th year, the charity has over 11,000 canine donors registered and is growing at an exponential rate as media attention increases.
Pet Blood Bank UK is entering an exciting period of dynamic strategic growth and currently have vacancies for two new Board members to join our Board of Trustees. Our Trustee Board is responsible for the governance of the charity, setting the overall strategy for the organisation and evaluating its progress towards key goals.
We are particularly keen to appoint Trustees with financial and commercial skills and experience. Financial candidates should be able to demonstrate significant accountancy experience at a senior level, with the appropriate professional qualifications. Commercial candidates should also be suitably qualified and able to demonstrate strategic leadership at a senior level e.g. CEO, Managing Director or equivalent.
You will be expected to attend two ‘face to face’ Board meetings per year as well as quarterly conference calls. Whilst our Trustee positions do not attract a salary, all reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
