Charity Manager (home based)

  • Home or office based with Board meetings each quarter in central Edinburgh. With Covid-19 restrictions the role is currently working from home and Board meetings are via video conference.

Role

The Scottish Chartered Accountants Benevolent Association (SCABA) is a long- established charity which supports members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants' of Scotland and their dependants.

The postholder will be responsible for the delivery of a high-quality charity administration and company secretarial service, the provision of detailed financial information to ensure excellent financial and investment management and support good governance.

The postholder will provide a detailed assessment and advisory service to the Council members to assist them in their decision-making process in the awarding of financial assistance or alternative support.

The post holder will also participate and contribute to on-going service improvement and development within the charity and provide advice relating to current legislation and reporting standards in the Charity sector.
