Role

We are seeking to recruit a motivated and effective Helpline Project Assistant to support the Helpline Coordinator to deliver our national LGBT Helpline and contributing to the development of our ambitious vision for LGBT health, wellbeing and equality in Scotland.

The main purpose of the Helpline Assistant role is to:

  • To be responsible for the delivery of LGBT Helpline Scotland in the absence of the Helpline Coordinator.
  • To provide emotional support, information and signposting services to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender callers (and their family/friends/ professionals) on a wide range of issues.
  • Collect data, service feedback and case stories for the purposes of reporting and to shape the development of the Helpline.
  • Assist with the Helpline Coordinator with carrying out Induction Training.
