Epilepsy Connections wants everyone with epilepsy to have the support, resilience and respect they need to live life to the full.
Every year our Epilepsy Fieldwork Team supports hundreds of people to learn more about their epilepsy and how to manage it, and to live safely and well with what can be a challenging condition. The team works in a person-centred way to support people to identify their epilepsy information and support needs and to develop their self-management skills.
We need an enthusiastic, experienced self-starter to join our Greater Glasgow & Clyde Fieldwork Team. You will work in an advisory capacity with adults and children with epilepsy, including people who have difficult-to-control epilepsy and those who have additional long term and/or disabling conditions, and people who are socially isolated as a result of epilepsy. This busy, varied and rewarding role also involves providing information and support to families and carers, employers, and health, social care and housing providers.
Applicants must have experience of providing information and support in a health or other welfare setting, understanding of the impact of living with a long term condition, and excellent people skills. Knowledge of epilepsy would be an advantage but we provide full training.
To help us maintain and develop our reach to all sections of the community we serve, we particularly welcome applications from speakers of Urdu and Punjabi who meet the essential criteria for the post.
The application pack can be downloaded from our website;
