Barnardo's Caern Project (post reference on our website 7290 ) deliver a variety of quality services for young people with learning disabilities and/or autism. We have done this for over forty years.
Our service supports young people with learning disabilities and/or autism and their families/carers to achieve positive outcomes. Working primarily in the residential setting you will promote the happiness, safety and welfare of the young people during short breaks.
Ideally you will have experience working with young people and the required qualifications for full registration as a residential child care worker with the SSSC or willingness to work towards them.
We are recruiting full-time posts where shifts will be allocated on a rota basis . It is anticipated that Residential Project Workers Days will work these hours over five days each week including weekends, early mornings and evenings.
We would also encourage applicants that are interested in part-time work.
We are also looking for Nightshift workers to support our service . It is anticipated that Residential Project Workers (Nights) will work either over 2 nights per week including weekends.
Shifts are 10 hours per night. 10pm to 8am shifts will be allocated on a rota basis.

We have a community house in Midlothian where we provide full-time residential care for a number of young people with learning disabilities and/or autism.
Using a person centred approach we aspire to create an environment in which the young people are happy, nurtured and safe.
We aim to enhance the young people's lives by supporting them to develop their independence in both the domestic environment and the community.
For this undertaking we are looking to recruit a team of Residential Project Worker 2's for both day and night working.
Ideally you will have experience within a social care setting, possess qualifications for registration with the SSSC as a Residential Child Care Worker and have experience of working with challenging behaviour.
The full-time posts are 37 hours a week. Shifts will be allocated on a rota. It is anticipated that these hours (at either day or night) will be worked over three days each week including weekends.
Pentland Way would also encourage applicants that are interested in part-time contracts of 12 or 24 hrs. Please state on your application form the hours that you would prefer.
