Around since 1923, SAMH is Scotland’s national mental health charity.

SAMH has represented the voice of people most affected by mental health problems in Scotland for more than 90 years.

Today, in over 60 communities we work with adults and young people providing mental health social care support, services in primary care, schools and further education, among others. These services together with our national programme work in See Me, respectme, suicide prevention and active living; inform our policy and campaign work to influence positive social change.

SAMH is dedicated to mental health and wellbeing for all: with a vision of a society where people are able to live their lives fully, regardless of present or past circumstances.

SAMH provides supported accommodation services in Fife. The services is run across two sites in Fife (Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy), and is registered as Care at Home with Housing support.

The Senior Practitioners will play an important part in the service delivery for people using the service and the development of the service.

The Senior practitioners will :

  • provide direction and guidance to a team of Practitioners supporting individuals in homes and communities to improve their mental health and wellbeing.
  • Work with service users to define their own support plans and coordinate, evaluate and review this support
  • provide practice supervision and mentorship to Practitioner staff within the team.
  • be responsible for the Co-ordination, referral, assessments, monitoring, review and exit processes for individuals using the service,

act as the key contact and develop positive relationships with individuals, families, multi-agency teams and communities.

The successful candidate will ideally hold a SVQ3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent or be willing to work towards SVQ3.
