Senior Development Officer (National Leadership Network - Young People with Care Experience) (Fixed-term, 12 months)

The Life Changes Trust has a fixed-term role available to join our Young People with Care Experience Programme as a Senior Development Officer. This role is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development of a National Leadership Network for young people with care experience.

The role will be responsible for supporting:

  • the development of a framework for a National Leadership Network that nurtures the personal and professional development of young people with care experience, drawing on a range of learning and evidence
  • a comprehensive engagement programme that ensures a diverse range of young people with care experience, as well as representatives from Trust-funded projects and stakeholder organisations, shape the development of the Network
  • the grant-making process to identify suitable partners for the National Leadership Network (2022-2026)

The Life Changes Trust is an independent Scottish charity, established in April 2013 with a ten year, £50 million “spend-out” endowment from the National Lottery Community Fund.

The Trust’s mission is to facilitate and support transformational and sustainable improvements in the quality of life, well-being, empowerment and inclusion of three key groups in Scotland:

  • Young people with care experience
  • People living with dementia
  • Unpaid carers of people with dementia

This is a great opportunity to work with a visionary charity which is committed to investing in real and sustainable improvements in the lives of our beneficiaries.

The Life Changes Trust is a time-limited organisation established from April 2013 until March 2022.
