As a Support Officer, you will provide a direct response to ensure appropriate support for those serving in ministry. Responding to a variety of complex situations that can arise in the lifecycle of ministry, you will need to be able to respond with empathy, while displaying personal resilience in the emotional demands of managing an active case load.
You will have significant experience of supporting others and the ability to deliver support strategies along with a proven ability to support those engaged in ministries. This is a challenging role which will require the ability to navigate complex situations and work successfully in building relationships with a variety of stakeholders. As a member of a small team, strong organisational skills and a proven ability to deliver work on time will be essential.
Educated to degree level in theology or a relevant discipline, you will also display an empathy for the purpose and vision of the Church of Scotland and a commitment to the Christian faith
