We are one of three agencies working in a partnership with Perth and Kinross Council to provide high quality housing support for people in Perthshire and we are looking for a Service Leader to oversee our service, and to drive its continuing improvement and development.
We provide short to medium term housing support for people in the city of Perth and north Perthshire through a combination of face to face visits and digital sessions, our support is trauma informed and based on the principles of the psychologically informed environment.
The team’s work primarily takes place within people’s homes and communities and we have learned a lot during the Covid outbreak about more agile ways of working. We are using this learning to move away from having a traditional office base and so the role will involve a combination of working in people’s homes and communities, using rented locations to meet with colleagues, working in other spaces that we have agreements to use, and working at home is an option.
The successful candidate will need to believe in our frontline staff and the huge value they bring to Simon Community Scotland and to find creative ways to empower them; they will have a passion for involving the people who use our service, ensuring they are at the heart of what we do and how we do it.
