Role

Spinal Injuries Scotland have listened to our membership and with the support of the National Lottery, we are excited to announce that we will be expanding our services in the Dumfries and Galloway area for Peer Support.

Our Peer Support Program is based on the recognition that there is no better person to support someone with a Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) and their friends and families than someone who has been down a similar path.

We are looking for someone who is willing to take the lead and attend our NHS Clinics in Dumfries & Galloway and arrange ’Coffee meet-ups’ to bring people with a SCI together. The post will require 20 hours a week dedicated to the job.

The successful applicant will need to be able to pass a PVG check and comply with data protection and our privacy policy. It is essential that the person has access to transport.

Training will be provided.
