Role

CELCIS is a leading improvement and innovation centre in Scotland, based at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. We improve children’s lives by supporting people and organisations to drive long-lasting change in the services they need, and the practices used by people responsible for their care. Our focus is on children and young people in need of care and protection and actively working to help realise The Promise of the recently concluded Independent Care Review.

We are looking for a skilled and highly organised self-starter to join us as a Learning Coordinator (Online) for a new fixed term role.

In order to respond to the increasing opportunity and demand for remote learning using digital technology, we are expanding what we can offer and want to add to our team someone with the experience and skill set to hit the ground running in designing, planning, and delivering online learning sessions over the next six months.

With an excellent track record in developing and delivering online learning and/or events, and experience of using digital technologies and programmes, you will offer innovative approaches to help us create new learning opportunities for those working to support children, young people, and families.

This role will be expected to enhance CELCIS’s capability in this area, as well as capacity, contributing to our institutional knowledge by helping colleagues to learn and grow in confidence in using these platforms and understanding how to engage in these to best effect.

You will have excellent team working and relationship-building skills to support the learning work we deliver alongside our partners. Experience of having work in a learning (HE/FE) environment and/or in professional development and/or in children’s services would also be helpful.

This is a full-time role which may require some working outside core business hours of 9am – 5pm, and will be based remotely, at home, with opportunity where appropriate of working in the CELCIS office (based in the Curran building at the University of Strathclyde). Please note the role is expected to be fixed term for a duration of 6 months.
