Role

Cyrenians Mediation & Support services were established in 2006 and since then have helped thousands of young people and their families work through normal everyday disagreements.

We provide support to fit each family, with the aim of finding a way forward that works for everyone. Building strong relationships makes it easier to sort out difficulties and is an important part of feeling safe and happier at home.

This post will be predominately working in our new Keeping Families Together project which is initial funded for three years by Cashback for Communities.

This is a targeted project working alongside Scotland's five secure care units to support young people and their families to rebuild their relationships and enable the young person to return to the family home where possible.

We are looking for an organised and motivated team player with a strong track record of working with young people and families where relationships have become strained or completely broken down; helping make improvements and reduce conflict. Ideally you will also have knowledge of Scotland’s criminal justice system as it pertains to young people. You will work closely with our Mediators and other key stakeholders and should be able to demonstrate Cyrenians’ values of compassion, respect, integrity and innovation in the work that you do.
