We are seeking to recruit a Young People’s Worker to join our team delivering our community based service through person-centred interventions to support young people and their families. Your role will be to work in partnership with the young person, their family and referring statutory agency, to assess, plan and implement appropriate strategies to meet their required needs.
Through a range of group and/or individual activities you will work with the young people to support them to develop their talent, self-esteem and confidence, assisting them to understand, acknowledge, accept responsibility for and where appropriate, alter their behaviour. You will support the young people to develop their problem-solving skills, enabling them to resolve conflicts and develop informed choices. With young people and their families, you will support them to strengthen relationships. You will have the ability to monitor and evaluate the service to modify the programme effectively, working with the Service Manager, statutory referring agencies and other organisations to deliver changes which support more positive outcomes for Moray’s young people.
A key part of the role is to motivate young people to develop their skills, talents and passions to support positive outcomes. The work will be delivered to young people and their parents/carers within their homes or within other community settings.
