Role

Impact Arts is a forward-thinking community arts organisation which uses the arts and creativity to enable and empower social change. We consider the arts as a positive tool for change – helping people to build confidence and attain new skills, get back into work or education, source work in the creative arts and enjoy better health or improve quality of life.

We currently have 10 Trustees on our Board from a range of different backgrounds and are recruiting for one more Trustee. You will contribute to the overall governance of the charity and bring specialist knowledge in any of the following areas –

  • Mental Health
  • Youth Employability
  • Criminal Justice
  • Homelessness
  • Local Authority or Scottish Government Policy
  • Fundraising
  • The Arts and Creative sectors
  • Older People

The overall time commitment for this position is four quarterly meetings held in the evening, a half-day of strategy and the AGM. There may be ad-hoc duties throughout the year. Our Head Office is based in Glasgow, but we are keen to speak to individuals across Scotland.
