For Scotland’s Mental Health

This is an exciting new role within SAMH to lead investment in innovative new mental health services and supports within Scotland’s communities.

SAMH is participating in a national partnership with MIND, Inspire and The Co-op. The partnership’s aim is to bring communities together to improve mental wellbeing and support the resilience of those communities across the UK. Resilience is not simply the ability to ‘bounce back’, but the capacity to adapt in the face of challenging circumstances and find a new balance, whilst maintaining wellbeing.

The Programme Manager will lead the delivery of resilience services, funded by the Co-op, across identified communities in Scotland. Using evaluation material and supported by the SAMH Delivery and Development Leadership team the Programme Manager will design and deliver the resilience services project plan ensuring that projects meet objectives, are delivered on time and within budget.

This role will liaise with both external and internal senior stakeholders on progress, risks and issues and overall success and delivery of the project. This is a significant national partnership for SAMH and the Programme Manager will support the lead SAMH contacts with MIND for the funded services and projects.

Following a restructure, we are seeking a Senior Fundraising Officer to develop and lead on a range of activities including third-party, community and virtual events, and corporate fundraising. This is an exciting opportunity to join a values-led team and utilise your broad experience and enthusiasm for what we do, to make this role your own.

We are looking for an independent, adaptable, confident, and proactive individual who is people-focused and who possesses exceptional organisational skills. Above all you will be happy to share your ideas with the senior team and support the organisation to try new ways of fundraising, whilst providing a sound business case for doing so.

Reporting to: Head of Finance.

Key responsibilities:

• Cultivate strong relationships with corporate, third party, and individual donors
• Lead and manage fundraising events
• Nurture and recognise DSUK’s individual givers
• Research potential corporate partners
• Recording and reporting of fundraising activities with Head of Finance

Disability Snowsport UK (DSUK) is the UK’s leading snowsport charity. We have been teaching disabled people to ski and snowboard for over forty years and although like all charities we anticipate a challenging year ahead, we also have exciting plans.

Values in Action Scotland (VIAS) is recruiting for the newly created post of Senior Lead Consultant (Job Coaching), based in Aberdeen. Reporting to the Depute Chief Executive Officer, this exciting opportunity will give the role holder the responsibility to lead on Project SEARCH University of Aberdeen for VIAS, in becoming one of the top performing sites across the UK.

The Candidate

With a strong background in supported employment and/or employability programmes, the successful candidate will be confident in their ability to deliver successful outcomes for interns of Project SEARCH. Previous experience of researching prospective employers to provide work placements and job opportunities for interns will be essential in meeting the high targets set by VIAS and Project SEARCH. The successful candidate will also have the ability to work with a range of stakeholders, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills and an aptitude for building and nurturing successful partnerships. Ideally with experience of employment related funding sources and writing and submitting funding applications, candidates may also benefit from previous knowledge and understanding of issues and activities that relate to people with learning disabilities and/or autism.

The post: We seek a suitably experienced, dynamic individual with experience of working with marginalised young people, to support their mental health and wellbeing. Relevant qualifications, registration and PVG are essential.

The Health and Wellbeing Worker (creative arts therapist, allied health care professional, counselor or CBT/DBT therapist) will be based within the Health & Wellbeing Team but will work with other teams in the organization. The Health and Wellbeing Worker will use a person-centered approach with young people to build trust and enable them to improve outcomes with a focus on:

• Mental and emotional health, self- esteem and confidence
• Relationships, boundaries and safety

The Health and Wellbeing Worker will work with young people within drop ins, one to one support and group work. Where appropriate they will support young people to gain additional support from statutory services.
