Beith Trust is delighted to announce that we are recruiting for an exciting new project. This new role will be responsible for facilitating a successful delivery of an innovative youth leadership, training and coaching project centred around music.
The post holder will coordinate a team of Modern Apprentices who will lead the project, which will be designed, managed and facilitated by young people. The post holder will facilitate the delivery of a training and coaching programme within the project which will equip young people working and volunteering with experiences, skills, attitudes and work related qualifications which enable them to source, secure and sustain decent employment.
Project Brief
Beith Trust has a long standing connection with a number of young people who have had considerable success with their musical interest, nurtured within Beith Trust projects. Many are now skilled and experienced performers. These young people have shaped the project design and are keen to assist Beith Trust to facilitate this project, share their experience and skills and develop the assets and resources of the Garnock Valley to create new conditions that equip and support young people to realise and achieve their potential and showcase their talents,
The project will equip local young people with the resources, infrastructure and permission to conceptualise, design and deliver their own music project on their own terms. This will be facilitated within an innovative environment and accountable structures which enables young people to lead, manage and deliver project activities.
Opportunities for involvement will be created at a variety of levels, as novices, participants, learners, teachers and architects of the initiative. We will;
