ELGT is looking to appoint a Finance & Office Manager to have responsibility for the management of financial and accounting functions and to assist the Chief Executive in the smooth and efficient operation of the Trust. You will be responsible for all aspects of the administration of the Trust, whilst ensuring that the office is run cost effectively in compliance with legal obligations.

We are looking for a suitably experienced and enthusiastic self-starter, with an excellent track record of managing a modern office environment and ability to maintain all areas of responsibility, including finance, HR, IT and general administration.

The Edinburgh & Lothians Greenspace Trust is a successful and widely-respected independent charity that undertakes community-based environmental projects, working with partners to improve the quality and accessibility of greenspaces in and around Scotland’s capital city. As a Charity Trustee you will set the direction, strategy and policies for Keep Scotland Beautiful as well as being responsible for its governance. Trustees also provide guidance and support to the Chief Executive and wider team.

We know we have some gaps so if you understand behaviour change or have skills in environmental management, science or accountancy you’d be helping strengthen our current Board. But don’t be put off if these are not your particular skill set, because we’re actively looking for diversity of opinion and experience too. We want people who are passionate about making a difference, whatever their background.

Are you a skilled and efficient communicator with the ability to promote our vision to supporters across a wide variety of platforms?

We are looking for an organised professional with strong written and verbal skills to join our expanding Fundraising and Engagement Team. You will be supporting the Individual Giving and Marketing Manager to manage our website and deliver high quality content to recruit and retain donors.

The role will initially be home based with office working occasionally once restrictions are lifted at our Findhorn base.

ELGT has created a new Greenspace & Health Manager post to have the responsibility for the development and management of the Thrive Physical Activity in Greenspaces programme of work. The role will also include the line management of the ELGT Community Link Worker and the Greenspace & Health Project Officer.

The Thrive Project is a collective between ELGT, Edinburgh Leisure, Cyrenians and SAMH to deliver a 5-year programme of activities and personal support that allow people to get active outdoors. It will provide a range of meaningful group activities that include walking and jogging groups, and conservation activities.

The successful candidate will also contribute towards the delivery of the programme of physical activities in greenspaces.

We are looking for a suitably experienced and enthusiastic self-starter, with an excellent track record of managing a similar health-based programme of activities using a person-to-person approach, and experienced in evaluation and reporting on similar projects addressing health and wellbeing outcomes.
