Committed to Ending Abuse (CEA), formerly Falkirk & District Women’s Aid, is seeking to recruit a part-time
Diploma Level qualified Play Therapist to join its Children’s and Young People’s (CYP) Team to work with
children who have been impacted by any form of domestic abuse. CEA’s CYP service offers emotional support,
advocacy and Play Therapy to children and young people and their non-abusing parents/ carers and family members
who live within the Falkirk Council area. CEA CYP piloted Play Therapy service in 2015 and it has been growing
from strength to strength.
CEA is a registered Scottish Charity and a Company Limited by Guarantee with a Board of Directors. CEA offers an
inclusive service committed to ending all forms of abuse.
We provide support to anyone regardless of age, beliefs, ethnicity, faith, gender, sexual orientation and race.
The successful candidate will have a wide ranging knowledge and experience in working therapeutically with children
and families who have experienced abuse, trauma or loss.
The post holder will carry a case load of therapy child clients and will work closely with local schools, social work
and other relevant agencies to deliver therapy interventions. The post will require travelling to deliver face
to face sessions, as due to Covid-19 restrictions, CEA Play Therapy room had to be closed until further
notice.
The post will commence as soon as possible. The post holder will require successful PVG completion and will be
expected to work closely with the children/young person’s team. This post is currently funded until Sep
2021
