Reporting to the Head of Outcomes and CashBack Gateway to Employment Manager, this is a key role within Celtic FC Foundation based mostly at Celtic Park, Glasgow. You will be an integral part of our CashBack team working closely with colleagues and participants whilst maintaining the upmost integrity and confidentiality at all times. Our Cashback Gateway to Employment project works with young offenders or those at risk of offending aged 16-24 supporting them to move into positive destinations. As such, we are seeking to appoint a qualified mental health professional with specific trauma counselling experience to become an invaluable part of our team, providing one-to-one counselling services and group sessions to young people who have faced adverse life experiences, many in childhood.
· Provide one-to-one counselling for project participants that have experienced trauma and are suffering adverse psychological, emotional and physical effects
· Deliver group sessions for participants that will encourage and support good mental health
· Liaise with colleagues to ensure a holistic approach supporting our participants mental health, physical, emotional and social needs
· Report writing and case studies to feed into both internal and external monitoring and evaluation

Skills and Experience required:
The successful candidate will have at least three years’ experience working as a qualified counsellor, ideally to degree level, with a trauma informed approach. As this is a new development for our business it is vital that the successful candidate can lead on delivery of our trauma informed interventions and shape how we do things, empowering our participants and promoting recovery and resilience. We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive individual, who can help us to develop this role into a key service across our business and provide first class intensive support to our participants.
The post holder will be hold a relevant qualification e.g. counselling degree, be a member of an appropriate professional body, able to demonstrate a strong successful track record in this type of role, have an enthusiasm for working with people from a variety of backgrounds and share our passion for supporting those most disadvantaged in society into positive destinations. A full PVG check is required.
A full UK driving licence, the ability to work evenings and weekends, and flexibility to work from home is desirable.
