The purpose of the Training Academy is to enable and support parents, adults and young people over 16, including people with learning disabilities and mental health challenges, to move into, or closer towards, paid employment.

You will have excellent communication skills, a friendly and engaging personality and be comfortable working with vulnerable people in our local community, members of the public, staff and stakeholders.
The Training & Employability Project Worker is required to demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience of designing, delivering and evaluating employability focused training programmes in line with funder and organisational targets.
You will be a skilled trainer with a professional training qualification and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role. You will also have the ability to motivate, empathise and support vulnerable people who are trying to find their way in the world of work.
You will deliver or arrange training and other development opportunities for STA trainees in line with their abilities and aspirations, plus facilitate access to appropriate training and employment progressions, in accordance with contractual requirements.
You will be required to work in partnership with other teams in Space & Broomhouse Hub, community organisations, educational institutions and businesses in South West Edinburgh, and city wide, in order to identify positive destinations and other opportunities for our trainees to move on to.
