• To develop and deliver the “Duke of Edinburgh in CAMHS and the Community” Project.
• Work in partnership with NHS Lothian Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), other key partners and agencies, and young people and their families to organise and provide opportunities for young people experiencing severe mental health difficulties.
• Mentor and collaborate with the young people to enable them to participate in DofE as a means of bridging the transition from CAMHS specialist mental health services to reintegration into the community.
• Support young people to choose and engage in meaningful activities, to help them cope with or recover from the effects of poor mental health and lead fulfilling lives.
