Equal Futures promotes social inclusion for people with a Learning Disability or Autistic Spectrum Disorder in
Scotland. We were established in 2002 by a group of parents who have a family member with disabilities, with the
aim of helping families plan for the future to ensure that their relative can live their best life.
Since then, Equal Futures has been on a journey to support individuals and their families through our Circles of
Support model and more informally through volunteer befriending and social opportunities. We currently support
24 individuals and families across 10 Local Authorities and have big ambitions to reach more people who would
benefit from our unique support model.
We take pride in being a member organisation to ensure that people with learning disabilities or ASD are at the heart
of everything we do and have a say in how we function. We operate as a registered Scottish charity within the
Thera Group of companies.
