Mindspace Counselling Service is part of Mindspace Ltd. Our aim is to promote mental health within Perth and Kinross by providing services to the community which complement those offered by statutory services.

The Counselling Administrator is crucial to our success in delivering competent administrative support to the Senior Counsellor and Counsellors, which enables them to provide an effective counselling service to the people of Perth and Kinross.


You’ll be the first point of contact for everyone who contacts the organisation. A key part of your role will be to provide a professional reception and information service to clients, counsellors, colleagues and visitors; ensuring their interaction with the organisation is a consistently positive experience. In your role you’ll also coordinate and implement the office procedures and administrative tasks that will enable the Senior Counsellor and Counsellors to provide a seamless and effective counselling service to their clients. In addition to this, your role will involve financial transactions; evaluation and reporting, and the continuous improvement of the administration service.


You’ll be educated to a minimum of standard grade A to C or equivalent. You’ll also have a secretarial qualification to a minimum of SVQ Level 2 or equivalent. You’ll have a minimum of two years’ experience and clear achievements as an administrator including competent skills in all computer applications required to carry out your role successfully. You’ll be self-motivated with excellent communication and influencing skills, and the ability to work without close supervision. You’ll be a great time manager and an effective problem-solver, but more importantly you’ll be able to demonstrate the qualities that build trust and foster good relations that will enable you to connect and interact well with the team, our clients and partners. Sensitivity and confidentiality is crucial in this role.
