Role

“GEAAP” Glasgow East Alcohol Awareness Project, is a nationally award-winning community alcohol project based in the North East of Glasgow. We have been offering a free to access, Alcohol counselling and prevention service in the East of Glasgow since 1991. Our aim is to reduce the harm associated with the use and misuse of alcohol. We are seeking to employ a full time full time Administration worker to join our team working in Easterhouse Glasgow. The post is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and Glasgow City Council’s Community Fund.

Main responsibilities & duties

  1. Provide overall administrative support to project Staff and volunteers, using all available technology and resources.
  2. Act as first point of contact for all visitors to the project.
  3. Devise and maintain client database with up to date client information.
  4. Process and record all Petty Cash dealings.
  5. Liaise by telephone, email and letter with clients and other agencies.
  6. Accept and record client referrals.
  7. Assist with awareness raising of the Service.
  8. Attend and take minutes of Committee/ Steering Group Meetings.
  9. Maintain accurate statistics/ records.
  10. Monitor and Order stationary supplies as required
  11. To participate in Supervision and maintain Professional Standards through training.
