Bridges Project is an independent, local charity which works with young people in East Lothian and Midlothian to help them manage the transition from adolescence to young adulthood and life beyond school.

We have a vacancy for a Tutor to deliver a customised literacy, numeracy and broader educational casework and small groupwork service to vulnerable and disadvantaged young people living in East Lothian and Midlothian. The post holder will work closely with young people, supporting them to acquire the necessary literacy, numeracy and life skills which will enable them to make the transition towards independent living, employability and other mainstream education and training opportunities.

Please note due to COVID-19, this post will most likely start supporting young people remotely and working from home.

It is essential that candidates have a full, clean driving licence and constant use of a car. Membership of the PVG scheme will be an essential requirement of the post. The post is funded by the Robertson Trust and East Lothian One Partnership until 30/11/2021. A contributory company pension scheme is offered with a 10% employer contribution.
