Role

Background

Crieff Community Trust was established in 2013 as a group of volunteers working together to bring about improvements in the physical, economic and social environment of Crieff. We work in partnership with other community groups, local and national government and other organisations on a number of projects identified through consulting our community on a continual basis.

The first Crieff Community Action Plan 2013-2018 is now due to be refreshed. We began work on this pre lockdown and want to update it now, in the light of Covid19, to redirect our efforts to where there is most need and to support local groups to adapt their priorities and replan their work.

Crieff has really come together as a community over the past 6 months and, as we come out of lockdown, we want to harness this community spirit. Reworking the Crieff Community Action Plan to take into account the community's needs in the post Covid19 world and building an online database are two projects specifically designed to help our local organisations to share information, discuss ideas and facilitate cross-working.

We will create our action plan with local organisations including clubs and voluntary groups as well as other partner organisations such as Crieff BID, Crieff Community Council, Crieff Connexions, Strathearn Artspace, ReMake, Strathearn and Strathallan Action Partnership and Creative Crieff. We then intend putting all the information gathered online in an interactive database, so it is easier for groups and individuals to find out about local services and activities, and also groups with which to volunteer. It will also help us as the Community Trust to identify gaps we should seek to address.

A Crieff CAP Action Group has already been formed and met a few times in 2019. A strategy document was prepared and discussed in this group. A questionnaire was formulated and prepared to be sent out to all relevant local groups (Young people, sports, heritage, parks and outdoor spaces. festivals and events, business and tourism,social care, arts and crafts.)

Role

CCT is now looking for a Project Coordinator to manage the creation of the new Crieff CAP by working with local groups, liaising with CCT and managing the Tech Army’s technical contribution in creating the website.

It is envisaged that the project would require 1-2 days a week for 6 months from September- February, so roughly 35 days. The project will be split into 3 phases with an overarching requirement to manage the design of the online database.
