Role

Our families, is a new service, offering therapeutic family support, practical support, money advice, housing advice and employability support to families with children under the age of 12. We are recruiting a Money Advice Worker to support the development of a new service. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new multidisciplinary team to offer holistic support to families in the Musselburgh area, helping to break the cycle of poverty.

You will be responsible for building links with schools and existing services in the community, providing money advice to families in the Musselburgh east area and building relationships with families in the community, in schools and in their homes, supporting them with income maximisation and money advice.

This is a full time, fixed term post of 35 hours per week, funded until 01 July 2022.

Hours to be worked flexibly to suit the needs of the service and the school (evenings and occasional weekends will be required)
