Drummond Arms Regeneration Limited (DARL) is a trading subsidiary company set up by Crieff Community Trust to purchase and develop the former Drummond Arms Hotel, an 18th Century building of historic interest and importance, in the Centre of the town of Crieff in Perthshire.

Overview of the role

To oversee and manage the development of the proposal for a mixed-use creative industries, hospitality, information and business support hub and acquire the relevant funding for the regeneration of the town centre building.

The post is funded by the Scottish Government’s Investing in Communities Fund until the end of March 2021.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development and management of a business case for the Drummond Arms Regeneration Project
  • To develop and implement the robust and dynamic fundraising strategy to meet fundraising requirements
  • Development of risk analysis and management plan
  • Development of design team tender brief and following correct procedure for tender process
  • To research and advance a programme of fundraising and other campaigns for the development of the project with long-term benefit to the community
  • Identify, build and manage excellent relationships with key contacts and partners
  • Manage communications, including providing regular social media, press releases, membership newsletter updates and liaising with Local Authority, and other partners
  • Financial duties, including budget management, keeping excellent financial records, ensuring payments for contractors, creating a financial project plan, etc
  • Assist with Board development and recruitment
  • Liaise with the Board and maintain records, accounts, contacts, meeting notes etc.
  • Develop and assess commercial opportunities and be the commercial marketing point of contact
  • Ongoing site duties, including procuring, and managing any contractors required for maintenance and surveying work on the building or site.
