About the Role

Support in Mind Scotland have an exciting opportunity to join our Senior Management Team for someone with a passion for enabling people to achieve mental, physical and financial wellbeing so that they can live full, independent lives in their own communities.

The National Information and Support Service (NAIS) is the front facing service of the organisation at National level. NAIS brings together all of our current Information, Advice and Support Services into one integrated Team, and will extend our reach and our range of services nationwide.

The ideal candidate will be keen to apply their leadership and management skills to develop and lead a dedicated team of Advice and Information specialists to reach out and support people right across Scotland, empowering people with timely, targeted information and ensuring people receive the best debt and welfare advice.

Working with colleagues delivering services across the country and the CEO, you will be a key part of developing and delivering our strategy in partnership with our members, service users and supporters.

Who are we looking for?

You will have at least 3 years’ experience in a relevant Information or Advice role, and be able to demonstrate effective people management and project management skills. You will have a sound understanding of the regulatory frameworks governing advice – particularly financial advice, as well as a knowledge of the health and social care policy sector in Scotland – particularly regarding mental health and wellbeing.

In this exciting new role, you will have the opportunity to show your creativity and flair for development, working across the sector with a wide range of external stakeholders, and raising awareness of the organisation as well as this new service.

The post is for 5 days 9am to 5pm (35 hours a week) with occasional need to work out of office hours to engage with stakeholders.
