With a National Lottery Community Grant Fund, Sleep Scotland has been running a Sleep Support Line since 2017. We provide advice, guidance, and support for parents and guardians of children and young people with sleep problems through telephone calls and emails. We are looking to recruit a Support Line Team Leader to the team. This is a new role, required due to organisation restructure.
As a Support Line Team Leader, you would provide supervision and support to our Tier 1 Sleep Advisors, and assist the Sleep Services Manager with supporting our Tier 2 Sleep Counsellors. You will also be available to provide general sleep support and advice over the phone to the parents and carers of typically developing children and young people with sleep problems. By listening to the parent/carer on the telephone, you will work to provide ideas and suggestions to improve the situation e.g. a good bedtime routine, gradual withdrawal techniques, action required in the middle of the night etc. Knowledge of sleep is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
The successful applicant for this post will require a basic disclosure.
