As a result of an exciting community engagement opportunity funded by CORRA, in addition to developments in a number of our existing services, we are looking to recruit a new Team Leader to join the Glasgow Supporting Families Team based in the Southside of the city.

As Children 1st Team Leader you’ll be responsible for taking forward an exciting, new community engagement initiative aimed at seeking a range of views from adults and children involved with the recovery communities in the north east and north west of the city as well as key stakeholders. You’ll also have the opportunity to directly manage staff providing family support through our existing relationship with the recovery community in the south, get involved with school-based services and support staff deliver high quality community based family support services with referrals predominately received from Social work, Health and Community Addiction Teams.

Through involving children and families in the creation and design of all our work we ensure we are able to support them effectively and make the difference they need. This means that while our services may look different depending on where they are, they are all based on the same core values, have a consistent focus on quality and have a commitment to building strong relationships with the families we work alongside.

We want to attract a confident and experienced leader, with knowledge and wide experience of working with children and families. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience of working within the addiction and recovery fields and/or have experience of wider engagement with communities and are familiar with a community development approach.

If you are an experienced professional with a qualification relating to Social Care, Community work, Counselling or other appropriate qualification we want to hear from you.

This is fixed term, full time post of 35 hours per week, initially funded until October 2021.
