Barnardo's Safer Choices is a specialist service targeted specifically at children and young people aged 18 years and under who are involved in or are at risk of involvement in sexual exploitation.
The service makes contact with children and young people via street work in Glasgow City Centre, through group work in residential schools, children's units and in mainstream schools as well as engaging in intensive 1:1 support.
The service also conducts return discussions with young people who are missing.
This post is fixed term until the end of March 2021 however we are anticipating a funding announcement late September which could lead to an extension for a further 2 years.
This role requires you to work flexible hours including weekends, a car driver with access to a vehicle is also desirable.
Membership of Protection of Vulnerable Groups scheme checks through Disclosure Scotland is essential.
