Lead Practitioner (Option Moray)

Role

Aberlour Options Moray is a community-based service for children/young people with learning disabilities offering residential, respite short breaks, family-based care and community support matched with the individual needs of every young person.

As someone who has built up experience working in residential childcare, you will have the confidence to guide and direct the team around you. You will play a pivotal role, working in partnership with parents and families to meet the emotional and physical needs of children and young people with complex disabilities.

Engaging positively with children, young people and families you will help plan and implement appropriate supports. Working alongside the management team and other Lead Practitioner you will mentor and support staff, assist in assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating services.

Sensitive and accurate reporting is a key responsibility and so you will have good written communication skills and the confidence to use information technology for recording.

This role offers a step into first line management while also enhancing your skills and knowledge through training, for example, in Dyadic Developmental Practice.

You will ideally have a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 8 or above, or be willing to work to this requirement as per SSSC registration.
