SAMH is prioritising and lobbying to support children and young people’s mental health in Scotland and to ensure they get help at the first time of asking. Be part of this critical and developing agenda!

The SAMH Children and Young People teams delivers a diverse range of mental health services, projects and interventions across Scotland as well as a focus on developing information, materials and resources. These projects support individuals, families, schools, youth groups and colleges to build capability around mental health; increasing the emotional resilience; creating a mentally healthy community in schools and colleges and tackling stigma and discrimination around mental health

The CYP Service Manager role is critical to the team in managing the day to day operations of the projects and their performance, supporting redesign and development of services and working effectively with internal and external stakeholders to meet objectives. Current projects include direct engagement within learning communities in Glasgow, Helensburgh, Kilmarnock and Edinburgh. The role will act as key implementation manager for new projects.

The role will also support the expansion of training and consultancy work and the research and development of new training materials and workshops. This include supporting development of e-learning and digital resources.

For Scotland’s Mental Health

This is an exciting new role within SAMH to lead investment in innovative new mental health services and supports within Scotland’s communities.

SAMH is participating in a national partnership with MIND, Inspire and The Co-op. The partnership’s aim is to bring communities together to improve mental wellbeing and support the resilience of those communities across the UK. Resilience is not simply the ability to ‘bounce back’, but the capacity to adapt in the face of challenging circumstances and find a new balance, whilst maintaining wellbeing.

The Programme Manager will lead the delivery of resilience services, funded by the Co-op, across identified communities in Scotland. Using evaluation material and supported by the SAMH Delivery and Development Leadership team the Programme Manager will design and deliver the resilience services project plan ensuring that projects meet objectives, are delivered on time and within budget.

This role will liaise with both external and internal senior stakeholders on progress, risks and issues and overall success and delivery of the project. This is a significant national partnership for SAMH and the Programme Manager will support the lead SAMH contacts with MIND for the funded services and projects.

The Property Assistant is a key member of the Property team and is responsible for co-ordinating the administration of building repair and maintenance work and assisting with the development of a comprehensive record and systems database within the Property Department.

This post will fulfil the day-to-day functions associated with the effective management of all Alzheimer Scotland owned and leased premises covering a wide range of duties and will include office based and ‘on site’ activity. The role will be based in Oxford Street, Glasgow but some travel will be required throughout Scotland.

The successful applicant will be able to build effective relationships with contractors and colleagues, have a firm administration background and be willing to learn new skills. A full driving license is essential for this post.

Reachout With Arts In Mind, established in 1993, is an award winning expressive arts charity that provides creative opportunities to improve confidence, self-esteem, motivation and aspirations for adults experiencing life's challenges including mild mental ill health and mild learning and physical disability from across Forth Valley.

The Visual Arts Project Worker is a key artistic role based in Reachout’s large well-equipped studio. Central to the role is facilitating creative workshops to vulnerable young people and adults; encouraging their creativity and self-help to maintain and develop their wellbeing. This will involve hands-on delivery, planning, coordinating, and facilitating creative workshops within Reachout studio, online through platforms such as Zoom and outreach projects across Forth Valley. This post requires excellent organisational skills in particular project management and administrative duties including monitoring and evaluating output from creative activities, costing and managing workshop budgets.

Reachout with Arts in Mind provides services for our members and the service users of Forth Valley partner organisations. The position will involve interaction with Reachout members and the local community on a regular basis. As a small staff team the list of duties is not exhaustive and a range of additional tasks may be undertaken as and when appropriate, and as funding terms and conditions dictates and projects develop.

The successful candidate will demonstrate creativity, leadership, self-motivation and both written and verbal communication skills.

The post holder will report to the Executive Artistic Director and will work effectively as part of a small staff team.

• Min 2 years experience of working with vulnerable people consulting, planning, delivering and facilitating multi-disciplinary creative workshops in a community arts studio.

• Recognised qualification in Arts – must have recent experience of successfully facilitating visual arts as listed previously

• Excellent organisational skills

• Committed to understanding mental ill health, disability and challenging circumstances in a community context.

• Experienced in the use of technology, Photoshop, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, online delivery

• Experience of monitoring and evaluation

• Experience of working in partnership with a wide range of organisations

• Effective interpersonal and communication skills

• Committed and flexible team worker, ability to support part-time staff and volunteers

• Ability to take on responsibility and work unsupervised

• Proactive attitude to change and development
