HOPE for Autism is a registered charity providing services for autistic children/young people in North Lanarkshire.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced individual with experience working in autism to develop and implement a bespoke programme of family and individual support services and autistic children and young adults and their families. This post has a key remit to help reduce social isolation, which is commonly experienced by autistic people and their families. Its overall aim is to promote community participation and emotional wellbeing. You will work closely with the Autism Lead, families, and partner organisations.
Responsibilities will include, identifying individual and family support needs and implementing tailored support services. Including, parent support groups, training, drop ins and signposting. You will provide appropriate advice and information and develop individual guidance and practical solutions. You will work with the Autism Lead, the wider team and partner organisations to ensure support is to the highest standard and led by good autism practice. You will manage and develop the support service model. You will ensure Children’s Rights/Human Rights are embedded within all support services.
This post involves mostly day working. However, there may be some evening working and weekend hours required.
