Role

As a charity and social enterprise, our vision is that everyone has a safe place to call home. We work to break the cycle of homelessness through innovative supported employment and housing solutions and give out over 250,000 items of free food year-round through our coffee shops and community networks. We work to end people’s isolation and exclusion by helping them to overcome barriers.

We are looking for a special someone to join our successful programme Jobs First that aims to provide employment opportunities to people in situation of homelessness. We need a dynamic, creative and reliable team members who can use their own initiative to build strong relationships with various stakeholders. In this role you will be working closely with Senior Support Worker to create opportunities for:

  • people to gain employment,
  • charities to establish referral pathways
  • employers to assist them with providing real work opportunities to those who are in a situation of homelessness.

You will be part of our energetic and enthusiastic Social Impact Team that has got a passion and commitment to improving the lives of people who are vulnerable. This is a job for someone who loves variety – every day brings something new.

You will come with experience in working to support and develop individuals with multiple/complex needs and a desire to join our collaborative movement to end homelessness. You will enjoy taking your own initiative but also working as a part of the team. You might travel around our various locations. You will be resilient, always bringing a smile and can-do attitude to your work.

We need you to be:

  • A person who has good knowledge and minimum of two experience of working with vulnerable adults and challenging situations
  • A person who understands barriers to employment that people in situation of homelessness might face
  • A person who can quickly build strong relationships for developing effective internal relationships and partnerships with a range of charities
  • Flexible with willingness to learn
  • Passionate about people with a drive to make a change
