  • Full time
  • £36,831 – £39,678
  • Dundee
  • Closing 11th August 2022

  • Advertised from 27th July 2022

The outbreak of Coronavirus has had a significant impact on the economy, and the long-term effects are likely to be felt for years to come. Sadly, this means that many people, particularly those on the lowest incomes, face an uncertain future and are likely to experience further financial difficulty.

But it is children and their families who are being hit hardest and the numbers living in extreme poverty is increasing.

Partners In Change are providing funding to Aberlour for two brand new posts to work on a specific project to review and recommend changes to the current financial wellbeing support across Tayside. You will work 37.5 hours per week. The two posts cover Dundee, Perth and Kinross and Angus. The vacant post is for a Financial Well-being Coordinator for Dundee.

You will work with strategic partners and families to assess the current landscape, engage with local financial inclusion/welfare rights providers to identify ways to develop local financial wellbeing support ‘frameworks’ to ensure families can access the right support at the right time.

You will have knowledge of welfare rights and financial support provisions for families and experience of direct work with families affected by poverty. You will also have experience of influencing strategy and practice.

At Aberlour we want to make sure every child and young person has the love, support and opportunity they need to reach their potential. If you share the same vision, we want you to join our team.
