About the role
Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire is the respected and valued support organisation for the community and voluntary sector in North Lanarkshire.
The role will involve building relationships with local community and voluntary sector organisations and community groups to create capacity that can support individuals, their families and carers to take control of their own health and wellbeing, integrate into the local area and live independently. It will also support the provision of practical and emotional support to refugees and asylum seekers that assist with issues such as finances, health, housing, life skills, personal safety, legal / family reunification issues, parenting and ESOL.
VANL is a supportive employer and provides good benefits including:

- 6% employer’s contribution and minimum 3% employee contribution

Digital Health Hubs Engagement Worker

You will be a community-minded individual with a passion for making digital health care more accessible to more people; to do this, you will engage with organisations, services and community members to increase the uptake of services such as Near Me video consultations or Connect Me, as well as enable individuals to access online prescriptions, healthcare and wellbeing information, Universal Credit updates and other benefits applications.
You will be responsible for offering person-centred support to individuals and taster sessions to specific audiences. In this role, you will also recruit and coordinate a small cohort of volunteers who will help members of the public to confidently access digital health care solutions, providing them with support throughout their volunteer journey with us.
Volunteering and Community Engagement Worker

You will be a community-minded individual with a passion for engaging with people, organisations and communities to support their development and contribute to bringing about positive change. To do this, you will promote and encourage volunteering, build capacity of groups and organisations through a range of guidance topics, identify training opportunities and evidence-based interventions and share good practice.
You will have an overall understanding of the local landscape in terms of community groups, support services and challenges that communities may face in Dundee. You will be confident in approaching and engaging with communities to assess needs and identify gaps in service provision, and assist in the development of sustainable initiatives together with local partners. A proactive and innovative approach to identify person-centred and community-driven solutions will be most welcome and fit well with the teams shared outcomes.
