Hayfield offers an extensive range of support services to Deaf people with additional care needs such as Mental Health issues and / or Learning Disabilities. Help make a positive difference to peoples’ lives. This challenging post requires the applicant to have relevant care experience combined with a positive value base, offering an enthusiastic and compassionate approach.
You will join the Team in becoming a vital role in supporting and enabling people who are Deaf (and have learning disabilities, mental health needs, autism, physical disabilities, communication difficulties) either in their own homes within the Care at Home Project, Day support service and Residential care homes to fulfil their life, acquire new skills and live as independently as possible. As well as day to day practical support, this will include supporting people to get out and about in their community, have opportunities for lifelong learning and maintain their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being.

What people who use Hayfield services want:
Hayfield offers comprehensive training and development, however, knowledge of Deafness, British Sign Language and SVQ Level 2 or equivalent is desired.
Planned rota includes day within Day Support, day & evening within Group Care Homes & Care at Home / Housing Support settings. All support services work together to coordinate a responsive and person-centred service.
Posts are subject to PVG Scheme / update, two written references and registration with SSSC.
Previous experience working in social care sector would be an advantage but this is not always necessary. Our ideal candidate is someone with a caring nature, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
