Role
Are you an experienced Finance professional with a background in Accounting and experience of establishing and maintaining effective financial management and business support? You could be just who we’re looking for!
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Finance Team as Financial Controller on a full-time, permanent basis. This role can be based in any of our offices, hybrid or home based, however we would need you to have flexibility to occasionally travel across Scotland when needed.
As Financial Controller, you will assist our Finance Director to:-
- Establish & maintain effective financial management and business support
- Ensure appropriate financial policies and management information systems are in place to allow Cornerstone to make well informed decisions to ensure ongoing stability & financial growth
- Prepare annual budgets, monitoring reports, forecasts and annual accounts
Some of your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:-
- Preparing monthly financial reporting, ensuring it is fit for purpose, developing new reporting where required
- Preparing monthly written reports analysing performance and mitigation steps where necessary
- Find solutions to complex funding issues, managing deficits and ensuring that new work taken on does not strain existing limited resources
- Providing an accounting service to all departments and areas within Cornerstone
- Coordinating and managing the timely production of accurate and detailed financial information, including management accounts.

About the Role
We are looking to recruit a Speech & Language Therapist to work as part of Allied Health service within Upper Springland. You will be required to provide an effective speech and language therapy service to enable and support adults who have complex needs. You will support and enable them to have control, choice and equality in daily life to the benefit of their health and wellbeing.
You will provide specialist advice, supervision and clinical support to more junior therapists, and care staff.
You will ideally have a degree/diploma in Speech & Language Therapy and be HCPC registered. You will have clinical expertise which reflects evidence based practice in the specialist field of multiple and complex needs. The ability to manage and prioritise your own work load is essential as are well developed organisational and communication skills. You will have experience of good interdisciplinary working with a holistic outlook and delivering an effective customer focused service. Dysphagia and Alternative & Augmentative Communication (AAC) experience is essential.

This challenging post requires the applicant to have relevant care experience combined with a positive value base, offering an enthusiastic and compassionate approach.
You will join the Team in becoming a vital role in supporting and enabling people who are Deaf (and have learning disabilities, mental health needs, autism, physical disabilities, communication difficulties) either in their own homes within the Care at Home Project, Day support service and Residential care homes to fulfil their life, acquire new skills and live as independently as possible. As well as day to day practical support, this will include supporting people to get out and about in their community, have opportunities for lifelong learning and maintain their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being.

About You
Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate the following:
• Experience working with adults and children with learning disabilities, epilepsy, autism and physical support needs.
• Experience in using person centred planning techniques in addition to delivering and leading excellent support practices.
• Strong facilitation skills to encourage staff teams to take ownership and responsibility for the quality of support they deliver.
• The ability to effectively communicate with the people we support, staff teams, families and external care professionals.
• Creating and delivering robust service designs, support strategies and risk assessments whilst managing individual budgets.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload whilst working under pressure.
• SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Full driving licence with access to your own vehicle for business use.
