Clydebank Women’s Aid are excited to announce a new position to join our feminist Collective! Are you committed to women, children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse? Do you identify as a feminist? If so, then the rare opportunity to work within a true collective management structure might be for you.

As a Children and Women’s Support Worker, you will provide one to one support to children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse wherever these sessions take place. There is also an expectation that you will provide support to women who have experienced domestic abuse in a drop in/refuge resident basis.

As a Collective Manager you will be equally responsible for the day-to-day running of Clydebank Women’s Aid and ensuring our vision and mission statements are met, for example: attending internal and external meetings; ensuring all aspects of the service is covered; overseeing recruitment, employment and management issues; contributing to local and national campaigns; ensuring women, children and young people are at the forefront of the service and that all aspects of work are done so within the feminist ethos of Clydebank Women’s Aid.

Clydebank Women’s Aid has a robust induction process, and the successful applicant will be given the support and training required to transition into this role.

We are looking for a woman who is a passionate and committed feminist preferably with experience providing emotional and/or practical support to women, children, and young people. Though you do not need qualifications to apply for this post, you will be expected to undertake these as per the Collective and SSSC requirements with the costs covered by Clydebank Women’s Aid (within budgetary constraints).
