Location: This post can be based in Edinburgh, Glasgow or Inverness. SCVO staff can work a blend of office and home on agreement with their team and line manager, and within the parameters of our Blended Working policy.

1 post - £32,505 pro rata for 20 hours per week.

To support the development and delivery of services, supervising the staff, volunteers and operational delivery of PDA aims and objectives. The successful candidate will have local knowledge of Pollokshields and its communities and services in the area and able to represent PDA at strategic networks whilst developing supportive partnership with other agencies/services.

The opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Engagement and Fundraising Officer (CEFO) to join the SRC team. As the CEFO, you will engage with a range of corporate organisations and partners across the UK, building mutually beneficial relationships, with the aim of maximising income to support SRC’s work with refugees in Scotland. You will be supported by the Fundraising Manager to implement a rolling programme of researching new business engagement and giving opportunities. You will work to develop and deliver pitches, plan and coordinate partner stewardship journeys, and manage your accounts to generate income as per agreed targets. The CEFO should have the ability to deliver a corporate strategy, including meeting agreed targets and objectives. Experience in business-to-business engagement and an ability to broker partnerships is a critical skill for this role. You should have a proven ability in achieving income targets as well as a track record of effective prospect research. You should have experience in copywriting and marketing across a number of channels including social media, print and broadcast media.

SRC are looking for an honest, empathetic, approachable, and enthusiastic individual to take up the Corporate Engagement and Fundraising Officer position. You should have the ability to work independently, with a flexible approach to working conditions. Working as part of the Funding Development department, you will deliver SRC’s Individual Giving Programme, maximising engagement with donors and voluntary income in support of the charities' vital work with refugees across Scotland.

The successful candidate will develop high quality relationships with members and donors, implementing a tailored donor acquisition, retention, development and acknowledgement programme. You will also support the implementation of fundraising and public appeals for the purpose of raising unrestricted and restricted funds, whilst engaging new supporters and members. The Individual Giving Officer will also produce a strong and compelling case for support, fundraising information and materials for a wide range of audiences, supporting communications and marketing activities.

Scottish Refugee Council’s new Individual Giving Officer will have a strong understanding of equal opportunities and an empathy for refugees. You will have an outgoing personality, an enjoyment for direct communication with potential donors and an ability to understand, exhibit and implement excellent customer care and behaviour. You will be able to work on your own initiative, meeting tight deadlines and achieving income targets. Your IT skills will be exceptional, and you will possess creative and strong copywriting skills. The Individual Giving Manager will be educated to degree level or have equivalent professional experience.
