Role
MECOPP – Supporting Scotland’s Minority Ethnic Carers
Seeking committed and enthusiastic individuals to join our team
You will work within our existing Gypsy/Traveller support service providing specialist advice, information, advocacy and casework support to community members to address accommodation and housing related issues. Applicants should be committed to anti-discriminatory practice, have a background in rights-based work and experience of working with marginalized communities. The ability to translate evidence into policy would also be useful in this role.

National Training and Capacity Building Officer

This is a new post which will have lead responsibility for the development and delivery of a range of activities designed to build the capacity of existing carer services to better support BAME carers. Applicants must have experience of training, resource development and confident in creating supportive learning environments.
This is a new post which will play a key role in informing and influencing the development of carers’ and aligned policy areas at national and local government level. Applicants must have experience of policy development, stakeholder management and a commitment to inclusive practice.
