We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Administration Officer to join our busy Education and Outreach Department. You will report to the Executive Producer and you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive administration service for the department.

The role will encompass a broad range of responsibilities including organising and updating information required by and used within the department and shared throughout the company. You will provide support to the Producers in issuing contracts and employee related paperwork including associated documents. You will also act as the liaison with Finance and HR to ensure all necessary information is passed over accurately as required and you will be responsible for maintaining and updating effective filing systems both online and hard copy as necessary.

This role will also provide support on projects within the team including collating information for inclusion in reports to Senior Management, Scottish Opera’s Fundraising Department and External Bodies.

We are looking for someone who has strong previous administrative experience within a busy department and has excellent IT skills including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

It is important that you have great organisational, interpersonal and communication skills and have a high attention to detail. We also need you to have a positive, pro-active and flexible approach.
