Dean & Cauvin Young People’s Trust are seeking to recruit a Social Worker to play a lead role in developing and expanding our fostering service, ROOM4U. The successful candidate will provide support to our current foster carers and will take the lead in the recruitment and assessment of new carers. The candidate should have a good understanding of fostering regulations and practice and must be committed to improving the lives of children and young people.

Dean and Cauvin Young People’s Trust is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be required to become a PVG Scheme member or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful applicant will be required to register with the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme and the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). The minimum educational requirement for this post is a degree or diploma in social work or equivalent.
