We are seeking to recruit two enthusiastic, creative and dynamic Project Workers for our Dignity in School project team.

Passionate about children, an excellent communicator and highly organised, the post holders will contribute to our work to support the implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and deliver human rights for children, with a focus on the education system.

The postholders will be located in our Dignity in School team but have connections across Children’s Parliament in terms of our UNCRC implementation work.

This strand of work is rooted in our practice with children and focuses on raising awareness, instilling confidence and building the capacity of primary schools and early learning to deliver human rights for children.

We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and determined individual to lead on the delivery of our new Artificial Intelligence (AI) project. This is an exciting new role in Children’s Parliament, responsible for the successful delivery of a two-year project focused on involving children in the development and delivery of AI in Scotland.

The post will sit in the Children’s Human Rights Defenders (CHRD) Team whose central role is to embed the views, experiences and ideas of children into decision making around policy, practice and legislation in Scotland – demonstrating in practice what United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) implementation looks and feels like for children.

The project will take a rights-based approach to exploring children’s knowledge and understanding of AI and its significance to children’s lives today whilst also having the opportunity to create and test AI concepts.

Once in place, and following induction, the post holder will be able to quickly and effectively take up their role and make a positive contribution to the organisation.

The Dignity in School Project Lead will play a pivotal role in the delivery of our three-year Dignity in School project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, delivery and evaluation of the project that includes school-based work as well as a specific focus on our adult stakeholders. They will work closely with the Programme Manager (UNCRC Implementation/Education) who leads on the strategic direction of the project.

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual to lead on the next phase of our Dignity in School project. The successful candidate should have experience of working with primary-aged children and education professionals. The post holder should also have a track record of developing and delivering training to professionals and producing learning resources for use in schools.

Once in place, and following induction, the postholder will be able to quickly and effectively take up their role and make a positive contribution to the organisation.

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and dynamic Programme Manager (UNCRC implementation/Education). The post is for a 12-month period as a Maternity Cover for our current postholder. We envisage a handover period as part of the plan to ensure a continuity in our programme delivery.

The post holder will be able to quickly and effectively take up their role and make an immediate contribution to the organisation.

The Programme Manager (Education) is a critical role, responsible for the management, development, delivery and reporting on a portfolio of education-focused projects.
