Are you a skilled Project Manager who really wants to affect change for the better, making our towns and cities more liveable happy places?

As Project Manager, Co-Design, you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of priority projects, and development of future of projects, to showcase best practice in active travel and place making across Scotland.

You will plan and manage resources leading to the delivery of projects such as Ardrossan Connections , Wick Street Design or Perth Pocket Places against a range of project deliverables, financial and performance targets; you will also work closely with colleagues within our Places for Everyone and Network Development teams.

This is a dedicated role working across specific priority projects with opportunities to work with representatives from communities, central and local government, active travel delivery partners, Transport Scotland and other key stakeholders.

We offer true hybrid working with an approach to suit individual circumstances; whether that is working from one of our new hubs in Edinburgh or Glasgow, from home or a mixture of both. However, you must be able to travel on occasion to Edinburgh or Glasgow when required.

About you

You will be an experienced leader, able to motivate and manage a team; in this instance the team consists mainly of project leads and engagement and behavioural change professionals, whilst also utilising the services of designers and engineers.

We work collaboratively so you should be able to build relationships easily across a diverse range of people, from community groups to local authorities, using your expert communication skills to engage with them effectively and advance our project delivery.

We will look for evidence of your experience of working on design projects, including coverage of the development of concept designs through to working alongside others to manage the technical design, and construction stages on smaller projects.

We ask you demonstrate your experience of working on projects with a significant level of partner and community engagement and involvement, in addition we would ask you are able to facilitate at workshops.
