Role:

Dean & Cauvin Young People’s Trust are seeking to recruit a Social Worker to play a lead role in developing and expanding our fostering service, ROOM4U. The successful candidate will provide support to our current foster carers and will take the lead in the recruitment and assessment of new carers. The candidate should have a good understanding of fostering regulations and practice and must be committed to improving the lives of children and young people.

Anne Hope House is a therapeutic centre for women with multiple complex needs.

Our holistic programs support them in their efforts to reintegrate into longer term accommodation and community.

This post is restricted to female applicants in order to reduce barriers of access for the all-female residents.

We are looking for a Project Worker, who will work as part of a team seeking to meet the practical, emotional and spiritual needs of women with multiple complex needs. As part of a team you will ensure the smooth daily running of the therapeutic centre and help to create a safe supportive caring and empowering environment for service users.

Your main tasks include managing a case-load of support clients: assisting them in their stay by key working them, assisting them set and meet goals leading to resettlement.

You will also provide appropriate emotional and practical support to service users assisting in budgeting, debt management, addiction support, household routines, arranging specific specialist help, liaising with other external agencies.

Experience of working with vulnerable and homeless people, experience of working within a team and the ability to deal appropriately with challenging behaviour are needed for the role.

SVQ3 in Social Care, Promoting Independence or equivalent as listed by SSSC as appropriate for a Housing Support Worker, or willingness to work towards this is essential.

This is a key role within the HR function, supporting and assisting managers across the organisation in a range of people management and development themes. The HR Officer is an integral and core team member providing expert HR case management advice whilst working proactively to support the HR Manager. The HR Officer will be required to work independently to maintain and prioritise their varied and busy workload.

We are currently looking to recruit a Night Awake Worker based at our 5- bed residential unit that provides accommodation to young people. The successful candidate will be a creative thinker with a positive and flexible attitude and will actively promote equality, diversity, anti-discriminatory and non-judgemental practice. They will always have a clear understanding of the nature and limits of the work role and a clear awareness of the power imbalance when working with Looked After and Accommodated Young People and work to protect them from harm and abuse.
